Microbial Stage (Tidepool)
The Microbial Stage, also known as the Tidepool or Cell Stage, is the first part of Spore.
This section of the game is loosly based upon Pac-man. You can control a small organism, as you eat other organisms, and avoid things such as viruses.
Microbal stage in Spore
In the tide pool phase of the game, which, as said, is the initial part of the Spore video game it is mainly a 2d environment. To get onto the next stage of Spore (“creature stage”) you must make your microbe eat different cells. Once you have eaten enough cells your microbe will lay an egg.
Once the egg has been layed you will be able to click it to modify the appearance and abilities of the microbe.
In a demo of Spore that Will Wright showed us in 2006 a spike that let the microbe attack organisms easier was added as an ability.
